Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands with roughly 800.000 inhabitants. The centre of Amsterdam is just 10 minutes away from the airport Schiphol. When you arrive on central station, you are al ready in the heart of Amsterdam. The public transport is very well organised and cheap. To visit Amsterdam is like a lifetime experience and I am sure you will come back on day.
You will find plenty of hotels in Amsterdam in various prices ranges. From youth hostel up to a five start hotel. It’s also possible to rent a scooter at a hotel.
A beautiful Vespa and you don’t need a licence and you don’t need to wear a helmet if the scooter doesn,t go faster then 25 km. Bicycle rental is so easy and you will explore the city so easy. I have to mention one hotel I like very much. It’s a floating hotel and we call it Botel. It’s just 5 minutes away from Central station. Around the boat are great restaurants and even an old Russian U-boat is parked close to the Botel. You can imagine what a great view you have at night looking out of your cabin. Prices are very reasonable. If you don’t want to stay in a hotel, it’s also possible to rent an apartment in Amsterdam with a view over the canal.
The picture you see is the most famous Hotel of Amsterdam called the Amstel Hotel. Famous pop stars like Bono enjoyed the most luxury suite of this Hotel.
